Woolrich writes to Swanson in regard to negotiations of selling his stories in which he declines an offer of $2,500 for Steps Going Up but is pleased for the quote of $50,000 given to Paramount for Waltz into Darkness. Woolrich never lived to see his novel become adapted into a film as it wasn?t until 2001 when it was produced by Via Rosa Productions under the new title of ?Original Sin? starring Antonio Banderas and Angelina Jolie.
