Map of Okinawa?s beaches, dated 20 January 1945, marking trees, fields, weeds, bushes, rocks, terraces, cliffs, and beaches, as well as roads, Yontan Airfield, Bisha River, and other points. 19 ? x 16 7/8?. This map, with several pencil notations, belonged to Bruce W. Weeder, a member of the 6th Marine Division. Weeder was wounded at the Battle of Okinawa on June 19, 1945. Old folds, small puncutres and tears.
