Yoruba Beaded Chair. (Nigerian, Late 20th century). Glass beads, cotton, over wooden frame chair. This is a compelling example in excellent shape with vibrant color. Crafted with glass beads, these intricately beaded chairs were originally intended to serve as thrones for Yoruba royalty. Some areas of bead loss with fraying. Staining to some of the edged fabric.
