Young is one of the most prominent of the Outsider Artists. Using found materials, he has created an impressive body of work, which has been exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D. C., and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
