Steve Samiof and Melanie Nissen (publishers). Slash: LA Punk Magazine Archive. Los Angeles, 1977-1979. Seven large-format tabloids from the 1977-1980 run of celebrated fan-zines focused on the Los Angeles punk scene. The zine eventually gave birth to Slash Records, pioneering punk bands like X, The Germs, The Blasters, L7, and the Violent Femmes, through the 80s and 90s.
