Billet Reading Candle Sticks. Italy: Progetto Magia, 2000s. A set of heavy brass candlesticks together with a small brass tray, wooden tray, and incense burner. The mentalist ?sets the mood? by burning a stick of incense and lighting two candles. A spectator writes a question, seals it in an envelope, and places this on the tray which is then covered by one of the candlesticks. The mentalist later answers the written question, which remains sealed in the envelope throughout the proceedings. These props were originally offered as part of the electronic effect called ?Andino?s Hand? but offer an unusual method for sealed message reading independent of the rapping hand effect.
