CATLETT, Elizabeth (American, 1915-2012). ?... and a special fear for my loved ones?. [originally created in 1947, this linoleum cut print on cream wove paper. was printed in 1989]. Signed and captioned by the artist on the lower margin, numbered ?3/20.? Sight 12 ? x 8?. Frame (Plexiglas): 19 x 13 ??. Excellent condition. From the 1989 series, I am the Black Woman (first appearing in the 1947 series, I Am the Negro Woman), this image was one of 15 linocuts from that series depicting the brutality of racism and the courage and integrity of African-American women. Excellent condition. Not examined out of frame.
