Changing Handkerchief Vase. London: A.W. Gamage, ca. 1911. Brass vessel with domed lid can be used like a flap card box; silk handkerchiefs can be made to vanish, appear, or change colors when the lid is placed atop the vase and then removed. Spring loaded mechanism in lid. Height 6?. A few small dents around perimeter. First example we have encountered.
