Group of six original black-and-white photographs depicting a female contortionist performing advanced acrobatic poses on a small stage platform, each captioned in Chinese along the lower margin, several identifying “Peking (Beijing) acrobatic performance” and the performer. The images present a sequence of extreme flexibility poses including handstands, backbends, and balance positions, characteristic of mid-century Chinese acrobatic and variety arts. Each approximately 2 1/4 x 2 1/2".
