Snapshot Photograph Archive of Early Motorcycle Restoration and Period Film Set Activity. 1963. Silver gelatin snapshots with scalloped borders. Group of black-and-white snapshot photographs documenting the apparent restoration or assembly of an early motorized bicycle or motorcycle, likely modeled after a ca. 1911 design, alongside scenes suggesting use within a period film or television production. The images show the machine in various stages of construction in a garage or workshop setting, with tools, engine components, and parts laid out, as well as completed views of the it fitted with a motor. Additional photographs depict the finished machine outdoors in use alongside antique automobiles and figures dressed in early 20th-century costume. One image includes a catering truck (“Fields Catering Service”), supporting the presence of a film crew or organized shoot. The group captures both the mechanical process and the contextual use of the motorcycle within a historically styled setting, offering a compelling blend of industrial, automotive, and behind-the-scenes vernacular imagery.

Condition
