[CIRCUS]. Cooke's Royal Circus. Hull: Robert Brown, October 26, ca. 1840. One-color pictorial broadside advertising ?A Treble Chain of Novelties" of this historic circus at Dock Green, Hull. Bearing an engraving of an equestrian act with a pair of acrobats on horseback, one is standing with a foot on each galloping horse, guiding them with reins, while the other is held perpendicularly at his right side. Other acts on the bill include the ?Toad in a Hole," ?Cinderella and the Glass Slipper," ?Puss in Boots," ?the Indian Rubber Man," and more. Minor creasing, tearing, and toning. Very good. Dawes label to verso. 29 ? x 6 3/8".
