COPPERFIELD, David (b. 1956). The Statue of Liberty Disappears. Circa 1983. Iconic image of the illusionist hovering above the New York City skyline with his hands over the Statue of Liberty, poised to make her vanish – and reappear again – on live TV. This would become his best known illusion. 36 x 24”, slightly larger gilt frame. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED by Copperfield: "To Tom & The Tom Foolery / Keep up the great work / David Copperfield."

This was one of many posters and photos that decorated the walls of the Tom Foolery, Tom Mullica's magic bar.

Condition

Rippling and minor wear visible, but not examined out of frame.
