Condition

Cloth spine sunned and rubbed, some rubbing, soiling to boards, corners bumped. Recased with early yellow endleaves, rear endleaves with a chip at fore-edge, some soiling and wear to endleaves, bookseller ticket on fp., folding chart toned, text toned, foxed, upper edges of text dampstained, a few pages roughly opened with some chipping at fore-edge. Good. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION OF THIS LANDMARK BOOK ON THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION, SECOND STATE WITH 3 QUOTES FACING TITLE-PAGE.
