Condition

Uniformly bound by Tout in contemporary three-quarter green levant morocco over marbled boards, spines ruled, tooled, and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, all edges gilt, marbled endleaves. Each title with original cloth front covers and spines bound-in at rear. Spines sunned to brown, joints and corners worn, some rubbing and light edgewear to bindings, text toned and occasionally foxed, thumbsoiled, some soiling and wear to original cloth. Near fine. Each volume with the bookplate of "J. L. Wesson" and four have a tribute pictorial paper stamp for Charles Dickens, all on the fps.
