FAUST, Tony (1836-1906). Faust?s Own Beer Stein. St. Louis, ca. 1880s. Porcelain beer stein with German blue onion design commissioned by Tony Faust?s Oyster House and Anheuser Brewing Company. Includes lithophane lid. Photo transfer on the underside of lid inlay depicts Mr. Faust, the owner of the restaurant, and lithophane of a couple on bottom. Originally served with Faust Lager Beer. 7 x 4?. Minor rusting to metal lid rim. Scuffing to lid inlay. Good.
