FOSTER, Neil (1920 - 1988). Two Portraits Inscribed and Signed to Tom Mullica. 1960s - 70s. Including an early left-facing portrait with the Zombie Ball effect prominently featured, and a later candid portrait. Both 10 x 8". The first image INSCRIBED AND SIGNED in the 1960s, "To Tom Mullica, who is Tops in Magic," and the second inscribed "To Tom - Who is my super talented son - so very proud of you."
Mullica met Foster at a Houdini Club convention, which is most likely when the first portrait was signed. He later worked with Foster at Abbott's, and developed a deep familial relationship with Foster, who became a trusted mentor and father figure, as the second inscription shows.
