Group of 7 Color Polaroid Prison Portrait Photographs, Identified Sitters. March 1980. Group consisting of 6 individual portrait images and 1 group photograph depicting the same men together. The subjects are shown against a plain institutional wall wearing matching orange prison uniforms, suggesting intake or identification photographs. The verso of each portrait is neatly inscribed with names and dates of birth, including “Claude Douglas Moore (9-12-54),” “Steven Anthony Moore (10-29-55),” “Horace Hildred Davis (10-24-57),” “Undell Roland (10-25-58),” “Walter Lott Moore (4-4-58),” and “Young, Robert,” with several dated March 25, 1980. The accompanying group image shows six men standing in a line holding numbered placards (1–6), reinforcing the identification context and likely indicating a coordinated documentation process within the same facility.

Each approximately 3 1/4 x 4 1/4".

Condition

Minor surface wear and typical Polaroid aging. Overall, very good.
