[HOUDINI] HERMON, Harry. Hellerism: Second Sight Mystery. Boston: Lee and Shepard, 1884. Green pictorial cloth. Illustrated, with frontispiece. 8vo. Ex-libris Bayard Grimshaw, Martinka overslip on title page. Corners bumped, front hinge cracked, tape stains to endsheets. HOUDINI'S COPY, bearing his inked signature on the front free endpaper, and with the inscription below in his hand stating, "Bot of the Voxil [?] sale." Minor penciled marginalia (mostly hash marks and numbering), possibly in Houdini's hand, and with the ownership signature of John A. Hinson, a Houdini family member, written above Houdini's in ink. Provenance: Collection of Beatrice Houdini, passed to the consignor by descent.
