Condition

Minor rubbing to binding, rear board lightly soiled, light offsetting to endleaves; jacket skillfully repaired, some toning, rubbing, light soiling to jacket. Fine. Housed in later slipcase. FIRST TRADE EDITION IN THE FIRST ISSUE DUST JACKET (with the misspelling, “Katharine", on the front flap). This novel became Hemingway's first bestseller and is considered to be the most important World War I novel by an American. It is based on Hemingway's experiences as an ambulance driver during World War I. Hanneman 8a.
