Spine sunned with gilt almost completely faded to green, binding worn, soiled, corners a bit bumped, text a bit toned, light soiling to endleaves, bookseller's ticket to rp. with offsetting to the rfep. Fair. FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING; WITH AN ORIGINAL PHOTO OF HEMINGWAY'S WIFE HADLEY HOLDING THEIR INFANT SON, JACK ("BUMBY"), TIPPED ONTO THE FFEP. Silver gelatin photograph, lightly curled, toned, creased, approximately 5 1/2 x 3 1/2". Also with the penciled initials of Donald Ogden Stewart (1894-1980) on the ffep. Stewart was a screenwriter (including The Philadelphia Story, 1959), and was the model for "Bill Gorton" in Hemingway's novel, The Sun Also Rises (1926).
