HOUDINI, Beatrice (1876 - 1943). Two Photographs of Beatrice Houdini in Costume. Chicago: Butler, 1920s. A pair of unusual three-quarter length images of Houdini's co-star and wife in a white wig and holding a fan; in one image she poses with a similarly dressed woman (perhaps her niece, Julia Sawyer) in a longer wig and attire similar to that of a Napoleonic-era footman. 10 x 8". A few folds and chips, with scrapbook remnants to versos. Provenance: Collection of Beatrice Houdini, passed to consignor by descent.
