A note in the flyleaf in pencil, WRITTEN IN HOUDINI'S HAND, indicates page 149, where Doyle's discussion of American magicians begins. On page 150, the phrase ?Houdini is the greatest conjurer in the world" has been underlined in pencil, along with another phrase, likely by Houdini himself.
