HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 - 1926). Houdini TLS to Dunninger Regarding Martinka & Co. Dated June 12, 1926, Houdini writes to his fellow magician on printed letterhead. The missive states, in full, "My dear Dunninger:- Thanks for the Ralston circular. When you find the Martinka book, please remember my home address. Regards, Sincerely yours, [SIGNED] Houdini." Matted and framed, 12 x 17".
Included in the display is the original mailing cover bearing Houdini's return address, and also with the Martinka booklet in question, a catalog of tricks offered by the firm and bearing Houdini's portrait. For a short period of time, Houdini was the owner and president of the famous New York magic emporium, which for many years was the hub of the magic world.
