HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874?1926). Houdini's Domed Silver Serving Platter. Large and heavy silver-plated brass serving tray and matching domed cover, formerly owned and used by Harry and Beatrice Houdini. The dome is engraved with a banner and shield device (or coat of arms), with a bird of prey at its apex; Latin text in the banner below reads ?In Deo Mea Fides" (My faith is in God). Approximately 25 x 17 x 14". The tray bears an oak leaf hallmark; the lid does not. Sold together with a photograph of Beatrice Houdini surrounded by trophies, silver objects, and other mementoes from hers and Houdini's life; this platter and dome can be seen in behind Beatrice in the image.
