HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 – 1926). Martinka and Company Stock Certificate. Circa 1919. Unissued engraved certificate (No. 17) for the famous New York magic emporium and illusion factory. With the printed signature of president Harry Houdini, and an illegible printed signature of the treasurer of the firm. 8 ¼ x 11 ½”. Encapsulated and graded by PMG as “Gem Uncirculated.” Houdini owned the storied firm of Martinka & Co for only a short time. This is the first stock certificate for the company we have offered. RARE.
