Portrait frontispiece of Houdini, plates. 8vo. Spine and cloth quite faded and rubbed, with spine chipped, front hinge cracked, flyleaf and frontis. loose, cellotape stains to pastedowns. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY HOUDINI TO HIS MOTHER-IN-LAW: ?To my Dear Schweizermama / compliments of the author Your son-in law / Harry Houdini / April 14-1908." Above Houdini's inscription, Mrs. Rahner has inked in her name, ?Balbina Rahner." Provenance: Collection of Beatrice Houdini, passed to consignor by descent.
