[2], [xxviii], [1]-[1241], [1, blank] pp. Publisher's full black levant morocco, boards and spine elaborately stamped in red and gilt, red watered silk endleaves, red ribbon marker, all edges gilt, publisher's glassine, publisher's black wooden box with lift-off lid, engraved title plaque on lid, bottom of box lined in red satin with black ribbon. FIRST COMPLETE EDITION, DELUXE ISSUE, #599/1,250 COPIES SIGNED BY KING AND WRIGHTSON. The Stand was originally published in 1978; this edition adds nearly 400 pages not in the original edition, and has other alterations by King. This complete edition is the longest single title by King, and is the basis of two different television adaptations.
Condition
A small scratch on the plaque on the upper lid above the "p" of the author's name, glassine toned, creased, edgeworn with a few small marginal tears or chips. Fine.
