Garden City: Doubleday & Company, Inc., [1938]. 4to. 672 pp. Publisher's full black cloth, front board decoratively stamped in blind, spine decoratively stamped and ruled in gilt. Lacks dust jacket. DELUXE AMERICAN EDITION, STANLEY KUBRICK'S COPY WITH HIS INSCRIPTION ON THE FFEP.: "Stanley Kubrick August 2, 1958 339 N. Rexford Drive Beverly Hills California". 

Although Kubrick didn't work on David Lean's (1908-1991) epic film, Lawrence of Arabia (1962), he had stated how much he admired and was inspired by the film. Kubrick would later state that Lean was his favorite filmmaker.

Condition

Sine toned, light edgewear to spine and corners, fore-edge of rear board bumped. Very good.
