Sepia tone matte-finish image of the famous illusionist’s lavish full-stage setting for the feat that made him famous, The Lion’s Bride. Lafayette sits astride his black stallion at the center of the scene, decorated with Moorish adornments and a large lion’s cage at the rear. Divided back with penciled notations. Corners somewhat rounded, else very good. RARE; the first we have encountered.
