LINDSAY, Norman (Australian, 1879-1969). ?To Berlin" Original Ink and Wash Signed Drawing. [N.p., n.d., ca. 1944]. Ink and wash drawing depicting a group of harem women, their former master in a turban (with a bowler hat atop his turban) and a surprised man, who, apparently, it to take ownership of this harem (in the foreground is a satchel with a sign, ?To Berlin.") Signed at lower left corner. Sight approximately 23 ? x 16". Matted and framed under plexiglass. Frame size approximately 32 x 24". Fine. A wonderful, whimsical image in Lindsay's inimitable style. As a point of interest, the surprised man at the left is actually a self-portrait by Lindsay. Not examined out of frame. From the Collection of Louis A. Irmo. Measurements: 32 x 24 x 1".
