New York, 1915. Original pencil drawing on paper done by actor Chester Morris at age 14 for a personal stage magic performance in New York City. The flyer illustration depicts a series of  illusions inspired by celebrated magicians, including "The Levitation of Princess Karthenia."

Morris had a deep appreciation for magic and was an active member of the magic community, working magic into his professional acting career, maintaining a schedule as an amateur act, and belonging to the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Performing throughout his life, starting from age 12, he continued magic alongside his dedicated acting career, notably through the efforts of the Hollywood Victory Committee and Hollywood Canteen, providing free USO appearances for American troops, performing at camps, hospitals, and military events during World War II.
