Beautifully hand-colored, engraved portrait of a youthful?Washington?(possibly a Lieutenant-Colonel) standing in a forest with a musket behind his back. Image is surrounded by a lovely hand-colored pattern, and with?Washington?s facsimile signature at bottom. Sight approximately 9 x 6?. Matted and framed under glass in a lovely gilt frame. Frame size approximately 16 ? x 13?. Portrait is lightly toned, foxed. Fine. Not examined out of frame. Measurements: 16 ? x 13 x 1?.
