Somber hand-colored image of?Washington?in bed upon his death, surrounded by 7 mourners, captioned (left to right) as follows: ?Grandchildren?, ?Lady?Washington?, ?Genl.?Washington?, ?Physician?, ?Quaker an intimate friend of?Washington?, ?Domestics?. The two ?Domestics? pictured are an African-American woman and man, presumably slaves. A copy of this lithograph is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Lithograph is visibly toned, with several marginal tears or creases, with minor occasional soiling. Very good. Sight approximately 9 ? x 13 ??. Matted and framed under glass. Frame size approximately 15 x 18 ??. Not examined out of frame. Measurements: 15 x 18 ? x 1?.
