MATANIA, Fortunino (Italian, 1881-1963). Original Drawing of Eve and the Serpent. [N.p., ca. 20th century]. Charcoal on paper, heightened in white. Image shows a nude woman leaning against a tree, with a large serpent coiled around the tree and her, with her holding the serpent near its head. Signed at lower left. Sight approximately 14 x 9 ?". Matted and framed under plexiglass. Frame size approximately 20 x 16". Some minor occasional thumbsoiling, a faint crease (or possibly a repaired tear) at left margin, approximately 2" long. Near fine. A beautiful image. Not examined out of frame. From the Collection of Louis A. Irmo. Measurements: 20 x 16 x 2".
