MATANIA, Fortunino (Italian, 1881-1963). Untitled Original Drawing of a Murdered Woman, with Her Presumed Killer Sneaking Away. [N.p., ca. 20th century]. Charcoal on paper, heightened in white. Image shows an image of a dead woman with a small mirror (the murder weapon?) lying beside her, with a man sneaking away, in Ancient Roman style. Signed at lower right. Sight approximately 8 ? x 9 ?". Matted and framed under plexiglass. Frame size approximately 17 x 18". One small spot at right margin. Fine. A beautiful, tragic image. Not examined out of frame. From the Collection of Louis A. Irmo. Measurements: 17 x 18 x 1".
