Odd Fellows Parade Banner. Canton Atlantic, Iowa, No. 54. (I.O.O.F.). Circa 1900. Silk and velvet with metal embroidery, metallic trim, fringe, and tassels, and other embellishments. With wooden hanging rod and metal hanger and finials. Recto bears a shield with the all-seeing eye, three-link chain, crossed sword and crook, lion, sheep, and ?Pax Aut Bellum" in Latin: ?either peace or war." Verso also bears a shield with ?Patriarchs Militant," a crown, and ?Justita Universalis" in Latin: ?Universal Justice." Minor staining, minor silk tearing, particularly in blue portion, and small area of loss at mid-bottom portion measuring approximately 1" square. Good condition. Unrolled 69 x 46 x 2".
