Four 12mo pages on 1 folded sheet in which Cleveland apologizes to Davis for missing him in Washington. "I hope I need not say to you that I am at all times glad to see you and think I should be very much grieved if you should think otherwise." Addressed "My dear sir"; signed "Yours sincerely Grover Cleveland." Approximately 9 x 7". 

Both toned and folded. Grover Cleveland letter with minor soiling; James Garfield with few spots. Very Good.
