Rainbows Motorcycle Club (MC) Photo Album Archive. Southern California, ca. 1960s–1970s. Original vernacular snapshot album documenting the activities of the Rainbows Motorcycle Club, comprising approximately 50 photographs (black-and-white and color) mounted across album leaves. The images center on a Southern California riding group, with multiple photographs showing members wearing or posing with “Rainbows” club insignia, alongside numerous scenes of club runs, roadside gatherings, and informal social moments. Motorcycles are prominently featured throughout, including lined-up bikes, group portraits with machines, and riding scenes on dirt roads and open landscapes characteristic of the region. Several photographs capture outdoor leisure settings—amusement areas, roadside stops, and candid group interactions—reinforcing the social nature of the club. The album presents a cohesive and unbroken visual record of a local MC community, with consistent participants appearing across images, suggesting a tight-knit club culture. Period color photographs appear among earlier black-and-white images, indicating activity spanning at least a decade. A strong regional archive of Southern California motorcycle culture, with clear club identity and documentary continuity.

Condition

Photographs generally good with expected wear, including some creasing and minor surface issues; album pages with handling wear, photographs mounted throughout.
