Group of 8 Early 20th Century South Pacific / Pacific Islands Vernacular Photographs. Collection of small-format silver prints printed on thin paper stock with blank versos. Depicting Indigenous men, women, and children in traditional dress, ceremonial adornment, and village settings. Images include posed individual and group portraits, a large gathering beneath palm-thatched structures with American flag displayed, a military or constabulary formation holding rifles before a colonial-style building, and additional scenes of villagers arranged before thatched dwellings. The group reflects a mix of ethnographic documentation and colonial presence in the region, with strong visual interest across the series. Each approximately 5 1/2 x 3 1/4".
