Illustrated with frontispiece and two plates after Gibran. 71, [1, blank] pp. Publisher's blue quarter cloth over black paper-covered boards, spine and front cover lettered in gilt. FIRST EDITION OF GIBRAN'S FIRST BOOK PUBLISHED IN ENGLISH. Gibran is most famous for his classic philosophical tome, The Prophet (1923).

Condition

Spine slightly leaning; boards lightly rubbed and soiled, with slight loss at corners; offsetting to endleaves; tears to lower edges of pages 21-26; Brentano's ticket to rear pastedown. Good.
