[THE CLASH]. White Riot in the Fillmore!. New Yooth Productions: San Francisco, 1979. Original benefit concert flyer for the Thursday, February 8, 1979 concert benefiting the New Yooth organization and their efforts to open an all-ages concert venue for the blooming San Francisco punk scene. Though the flyer does not explicitly name the Clash, the flyer features the headline "'White Riot In The Fillmore!' with The Best Band Ever, Direct From England," alluding to the band along with including artwork taken from the cover of the Clash's 1978 album Give 'Em Enough Rope. This was only their 2nd American show.
The band's name couldn't be used in the advertising for the benefit, as they were still under contract with Bill Graham Productions at this time. Still wanting to perform, they avoided announcing their participation. The Zeros and Negative Trend also appear on the bill. 8 1/2 x 11".
Minor edge wear; light even toning. Very good.
