[Optical View] Three Vue d?Optique Engravings. Paris: Jean Francois Daumont, circa 1750s. Handsome views of ?Jardin du Prince de Schaurtzenberg,? ?Ville de Vienne,? and ?La Grande Gallerie de Versaille.? Original hand coloring. 12 x 18?. Minor age-toning with light soiling to margins, else very good. These prints, vue d?optique, were etchings popular in the 18th century as a source of entertainment. They were developed to provide the illusion of depth when viewed through a zograscope or peep box.
