Two Men in Fraternal Costume. 1879. Quarter plate tintype photograph depicting two men posed in elaborate fraternal or ceremonial costume, including plumed headdresses, capes, and decorative regalia, standing within a studio interior. Housed in a decorative paper mat with printed border. Verso with manuscript inscription dated 1879. Overall size approximately 6 x 4". (Sight slightly smaller).
Condition
Image sharp with strong contrast; minor surface wear and light spotting. Mat with corner wear, including loss at one corner, and general toning.
