Trio of German Half-Liter Stoneware Beer Steins. [Germany, ca. 19th - 20th centuries]. Stoneware steins with painted scenes or text, all with hinged pewter lids. Including: Two trumpeters and a maiden. With "233" on side and "HG" on lid. "233 / 8" on bottom. [And:] "Bei Trunk und Scherz / Bleibt froh das Herz" ("At drink and joke / May your heart remain joyful.") With image of a couple in a rural scene. "852" on side and "Made in Germany" on bottom. [And:] "Schnell wie ein Pfeil! All Heil! / Früh und fpat hoch zu rad." ("Fast as an arrow!  All cheer! / Early and easy to follow [?]"). With an image of a female cyclist and her bicycle. "96" on side and "96 / 2" on bottom. All approximately 10" high.

Condition

Occasional rubbing, tape residue on inside of steins (from old reference notes). Fine.
