Trio of German One-Liter Stoneware Beer Steins. [Germany, ca. 19th - 20th centuries]. Stoneware steins with painted scenes or text, all with hinged pewter lids. Including: "Das Jahr ist gut Braun Bier ist gerath" ("the air is good - brown beer came out good"). Cupid theme on pewter lid. Maker's mark ("W/J[?]Gr") on bottom. [And:] "Das ist das aechte Jaeger-Blut." ("This is the Aechle Jager-Blood.") Image on side is of revelers and a waitress in a pub. Elaborate filigree-like design on lid. Maker's mark ("565 / JWR Germany") on bottom (minor chipping on bottom). [And:] "Strablt mir deimer Augen Sonne..." ("Shines for me the sun in your eyes...") Images of lovers on two sides. Maker's mark ("RM" in a star, "H", "339"). All approximately 11" high or a bit shorter.

Occasional wear, chipping as noted, tape residue on inside of steins (from old reference notes). Fine.
