Twentieth Century Silk Lyre. Berlin: Conradi, ca. 1920. Nickel plated stand with metal lyre at its top holds two green handkerchiefs, tied together. A red handkerchief vanishes from the magician?s hands (or from a silk rifle), then reappears tied between the green silks on the stand. Clockwork motor activates mechanism; silk appears visibly. Height 65 ??. Silks tattered, working not apparent. Uncommon.
