Velvet Pipe Tobacco Porcelain Sign. 1920s. Single-sided porcelain (SSP) sign for the ?aged in wood? tobacco product, with older gasoline sign verso. On verso is a faded painted sign: ?Gasoline / 300 feet.? 12 x 39?. Porcelain losses to all corners and around edges, with areas of loss [inexpertly] restored/ painted over with [acrylic?] paint. Several scratches and scuffs throughout the field. Some dust accumulation.
