[xvi], [1]-609, [1, blank] pp. All plates (except the 2 Buss plates) are in 2 states (the first state and in later states). The Buss plates are first state. Bound in late-19th century full black morocco, boards double-ruled in gilt, spine ruled, tooled, and lettered in gilt in compartment, five raised bands, gilt board edges and turn-ins, marbled endleaves, all edges gilt (joints starting, spine sunned, soiled, some rubbing, light soiling to boards, hinges just starting, plates a bit toned, foxed, offset). Very good. FIRST EDITION, BOUND FROM PARTS (no wrappers, ads present). Housed in red cloth, fleece-lined slipcase. Vignette title-page first state (?Veller" on sign) also second state (?Weller" on sign). An unusual volume with multiple plates in two states. Eckel pp. 17-59.
