HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 - 1926). Harry Houdini's Embroidered Linen Bag. A white fabric bag owned and used by Houdini to carry his linens while on tour. The white surface has been embroidered by Beatrice Houdini, his wife and co-star, with red thread. A large facsimile of Houdini's signature has also been expertly sewn by Mrs. Houdini in one corner, and the word "LINEN" appears in the bottom center of the bag. Framed under glass, 32 x 23".

A remarkable personal object from Houdini's life and career that he owned, used, and handled on a daily basis as part of his American tour, and presented to him by his wife, Bess.

Condition

Old folds and light soiling visible, but overall very good condition, especially so for an object regularly owned and used by Houdini.
