CONTAINS VARIOUS ITEMS ON "EVACUATION DAY," MARKING THE END OF THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR. "The Definitive Treaty being concluded, and the city of New-York to be evacuoted on the 22d instant, His Excellency the Commander in Chief, proposes to celebrate the Peace at that Place..." and "Our accounts from New-York, are, that the last of the British Garrison were to embark yesterday, and sail the first wind" on p3. Also on p3 is a proclamation from GEORGE WASHINGTON discharging soldiers in the legionary corps under Col. Sheldon: "In virtue of a resolution of Congress authorising me thereunto... they are hereby discharged from all further services in the armies of the United States." 

Toning, spotting. Chipping at margins with pinholes and discoloration from possible disbinding. One vertical and one horizontal crease with 1/2-1" tears at left and right margins. Very good.
